OUR February Convocation saw the celebration of E.Comp John Jones’ 50th year (almost) in the Holy Royal Arch and hs membership of Thames Mouth Chapter. The official date was later in February but the members could not wait until our next meeting to mark the occasion. |
|
Our MEZ E.Comp Ian Simpson presented John, on behalf of the members, a certificate marking the achieve-ment. Ian also read out many news events from 1972. He also presented John with a goodie bag containing a bottle of vintage port his favourite tipple. And a bouguet of flowers for his wife Janet. The Scribe E then presented him with a facsimile of a newspaper showing major news events from the time with John featured on the front page. And finally E.Comp David Dann read out a e-mail from Paul Tarrent MEGS congratulating John and apologising for not being able to attend this historic meeting. |
